Error message - DLL file - Unable to execute a necessary DLL file

Hi there,

I tried to Install Itunes (iTunes 11.0.2 for Windows (64-bit)), but I get this error message, see attached image:

It is in Dutch, but it says:

"There is a problem with this Windows Installer-package.

A DLL-file which is necessary to complete the installation, can't be executed,

Please contact your system support or the application supplier."

Can anybody help me out please?!

Is your Windows 7, (64 bit) and all Updates installed ? Please confirm.

Yes it is Windows 7 (64 bit). I think al updates are installes, but I will check.

The updates are installes automatically by our system administrator.

Can you run the iTunes installer as Administrator ? If not please ask System Administrator to install iTunes.

Agree with RajaRani. For instructions on the procedure (doing a "run as administrator" on the installer file), see the following user tip:

"The administrator has set policies to prevent this installation" error messages when installing iTunes for Windows on Windows Vista and Windows 7 systems
