how do i find and delete duplicate songs in iTunes 11.0.2(26)? I found the "show exact duplicate items" under the View drop down, but it is greyed out and I cannot click on it?

Perhaps you were in a different view other than Music (or in Radio)?
Try going to Music and then click Songs at the top. Now click View > Show Duplicate Items.
