I recently purchased a used ipod nano. It still has the old owners info on it. Do I need to reset it to add my info and if so how do I do that. PS - No software came with the purchase by the way.

If u want to start from scratch then u will need to reset ur iPod. U need iTunes to sync music to the iPod. But if u just want to restore it then u go settings general restore
To simply change the name, plug iPod into your computer after downloading iTunes, and click on the iPod tab tab that shows up. On that page, click on the iPod's current name, and enter your own name.
