Windows 8 is only compatible with Macs that support Boot Camp 5. To check that your computer can run Windows 8, see > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5634

If your Mac is compatible, first download the Boot Camp 5 drivers from the Apple Support page > http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1638 Then, open Boot Camp Assistant and follow the steps to install Windows.

If it's not compatible and you want to use Windows 8, install Parallels, VMware Fusion or VirtualBox, create a virtual machine and install Windows there
