how to restore all data from ipad to new macbook pro retina?
My old macbook pro updated itunes, then erased all of my songs, and all my playlists, and then died. I bought the new macbook pro retina 15 inch, but I didn't want to do the whole time machine backup because I wanted to start with a fresh computer, so I just used a software to transfer all my songs from ipad to my new macbook, but all my playlists and settings are gone.
My question is: Is there a way to transfer all my ratings, playlists, etc. from my ipad (2nd gen) to my new macbook? I have over 6,000 songs, and I spent so much time editing their info, rating them, erasing duplicates etc. on my old macbook, I don't want to lose all of that. My ipad is the only back up I have of my old itunes library, and I didn't have an icloud account at the time. Time machine from my old macbook probably has a back up, but I'm not sure since my old macbook went crazy and deleted stuff without letting me know.
I backed up my ipad to this computer, is there a chance I could restore my old itunes to my new macbook with that back up?
All I care about is my itunes library; photos, mail etc. are already synced.
Any help is appreciated.
Thank you
