Computer constantly restarting/turning off when attempting to run programs.

This has been happening since I've upgraded to Mountain Lion, and has seem to gotten worse over time. Specifically crashes when using games on Steam and Spotify, but happens occasionally when browsing and other tasks.

Planning to take it to an Apple store, but was hoping to see any suggestions from the community. Have contacted phone support and verfied/repaired disk permissions and have reinstalled Mountain Lion.
