Mac & Ipad numbers conflict

When I go to edit a numbers sheet that was done on my macair with the Ipad version, I get a message "this spreadsheet may look different....etc." and then when I edit and re open on the Mac the sheet is a mess. What am I doing wrong or more importantly what do I need to do to make them compatible?

Thanks!

JW,

I've seen that concern expressed here several times now. I think it's a weak point in the integration between the platforms. I suggest that until this is worked out, I wouldn't hold my breath, keep two copies of your documents on the Mac; one for collaboration with the iOS platform and one to preserve any layout work that you have done. Then use the data that you have modified on the iOS device to update the copy on your mac with the valid layout.
