Can you seriously not use IE on a Mac??

I tried to apply online for an important job today. The website said that I could not access the page since the browser wasn't supported (I use Safari, obviously). They said the webpage required IE 6. I researched how one must download IE for an Apple product, but was led to many dead ends. I need to apply for this job, and rather than going out and using a public computer I would like to just try and see if I can download IE safely from the comfort of my own home.

Please read: If you suggest going into "Develop" and changing the user agent, I did that, and the webpage looked weird and blank. Because it's not truly IE (just mimicks it, from what I understand).

I HATE IE with a vengeance. But need it to apply for this position! So frustrating.....

There is no current version of IE for a Mac. Have you tried some of the other browser out there, like Chrome or FireFox? Quite often, you can use one of those in place of IE. BTW, IE 6 is quite old, and has enough issues that even Microsoft doesn't want to support it any more. If you are applying for a job that requires you to have IE 6, perhaps it's a good thing that you can't apply for it...
