Q: APT-X profile in next iOS...

It's incredible Apple doesn't support an hi-quality sound profile such as apt-x!

Please Apple, it's "only" a software update (with little royalties to pay, ok) for next iOS release...

All your major competitors do this.

And with all those sound docks out there...

 

Is anyone aware about a possible update?

    Wow, in 2016, Apple keep using the AAC Bluetooth Codex on iPhone and iPad. You can read it everywher one the Web, in particular on audiophiles furums: The Bluetooth on the iPhone and iPad delivers a very, very poor sound quality. Same thing trough Airplay. Unfortunately, if the next update doesn't include the Apt-X Codex, like my friends, I'm going to the make the change: Me, my wife and children are going to choose the Sony, LG or Samsung smartphones. We are going to replace gradually every Apple devices, even at my business.
