MY BACKUP THAT I SPENT HOURS LEARNING HOW TO DO HAS BEEN OVER WRITTEN IN A MATTER OF SECONDS AFTER UPDATING TO THE LATEST FIRMWARE.

DETAILS:

i backed up my iphone 4

updated to latest firmware

accidentally clicked 'this is a new iphone' on itunes - WHICH PRACTICALLY F'ED UP EVERYTHING IN A MATTER OF SECONDS - as i was doing this late at night (12 am)

DATA LOST AND GONE.

I NEED A FIX, AND I NEED ONE ASAP. THANK YOU

Connect your iPhone to iTunes on the computer that you backed up to and click on restore.  You will be given the option to restore as new (as you chose before) or restore from backup.  Of course, click restore from backup.

Important Note:  Do not backup your iPhone before restoring so you can use the backup that is already in your computer.
