Why does my ligntning connector have an intermittent connection?

Okay, I'll describe my problem, then offer my solution. My iphone5 was having an intermittent connection problem when charging. If I did not jiggle the lightning connector until I heard a beep, I would have an uncharged phone the following morning. After several days of this I finally got the bright idea to gently clean out the receptacle on the phone with a clean toothpick and a few breath blasts. Sure enough a significant amount of pocket lint came out and my problem was solved.

Had the same problem, iPhone 5 wouldn't charge unless I jiggled the connection. I tried the toothpick solution, pulled out some lint and it seems to have solved the problem.

I was havin trouble as well but cleaning didn't do the trick. After searcing around and reading some blogs I found this company www.rockhoptec.com and they replaced the power port assembly for less than 50 bucks out of my pocket including return shipping!!!
