How to transfer pdf's into Keynote?

Having recently bought an ipad with keynote I am trying to sort out how to convert Pdf files into Keynote. The pdf page size is formatted to the ipad screen size already. Is it possible or do I have to buy Keynote for my Imac and import them as individual images?

I am working on a similar issue. I can get the PDF into Keynote using Acrobat Pro (very expensive) I am usingit on a Mackbook Pro Retina. the issue I am having is that the PDF shrinks to fit the PDF to the slide and when it does that it changes the word placement. It stays in the same colum but part of the word is on top and the rest of it is below the top. I have to spend some more time on it. I don't think that you will be able to do what you want with the ipad? The Ipad and the Imac are two different programs with the full program on the Imac.
