preinstalled apps cannot be uppdated

Is there anybody who can help me with preinstalled numbers and keynote? I bought my iMac for some days before via webshop. Everything is matching good but i cannot uppdate numbers and keynote. I read that a few other users had same problem but did not get an answer here. But I am trying. Apple support cannot help me. The only solution they offer is to return the computer.
