My wireless mouse is 2 years old. The secondary button stops working.
I check the settings in Sys Prefs in both Mouse and Universal but the only thing
which makes it work again - for awhile - is to restart.
Answers please.

Not optimistic this will help but you could try an SMC and PRAM reset:
secondary button quits
