I just purchased the Mountain Lion osx and it will not install. I went to the launch pad but it hasn't moved and I'm not sure why. What should I do to allow it to run? Any help would be greatly appreciated. My system is a 2011 Macbook Pro 13"

As you have just purchased OS X Mountain Lion, are you sure that it has been already downloaded? Open App Store > Purchases, and look at OS X Mountain Lion there. If the download is paused, resume it. When the download finishes, the Mountain Lion installer will appear, so follow the steps to upgrade to OS X
It is stuck on downloading. It still says downloading on both the app store and the launchpad
Just wait until the OS X Mountain Lion download finishes. I recommend you to have a look at Purchases tab, in the App Store, where you will be able to check the download progress. If it's stuck, pause and resume it. If nothing works, restart your computer and resume the download
Thats what I did, I restarted and it still wouldn't budge. It just wont install. Ive tried pausing and restarting but nothing works.
Open Launchpad, hold the Option (Alt) key and press the X button above the Mountain Lion installer, so it will be removed. Then, open App Store > Purchases, and download OS X Mountain Lion
Ok I did that and it did the same thing. It froze once it started again.
Delete the Mountain Lion installer again, and start in safe mode, holding the Shift key while your Mac is starting. This will delete caches and check the hard disk. Then, try downloading Mountain Lion again.
If it doesn't work, try with another network. Finally, if it doesn't work, contact with the App Store support > http://www.apple.com/support/mac/app-store/contact
