I synced my phone to my compuer, then i backed it up. Originally i had 60 songs, then after the backup only 10 of them downloaded again. How do i get the rest of my music back? Do i have to buy it all again?

When you say it didn't work, did you follow the instructions in the linked article, using the Apple ID you used to purchase these songs? Does the country you live in not support re-downloading purchased music (check the country list in the second linked article)?
Yeah. it only came up with 10 songs. Not all 60. and yes the US does allow it. idk why it wont work. anything else?
Are you sure the others weren't purchased with a different ID? If you are, then you'll have to contacts iTunes store support for assistance: http://www.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html.
