Convert AIFF Apple Lossless to second Hard Drive during conversion?

I have a large AIFF Library on one external hard drive that does not have enough room to store the original AIFF files and the new Apple lossless files. Is there a way to send the converted files to a second larger hard drive as they are converted?

If there is no way I guess I can move the lossless files to the second hard drive and covert there.

Pretty simple.

Hold Option and launch iTunes.

Select Create library... and select the external drive.

This creates a new iTunes library on the external (where the new converted files will be).

iTunes prefs > General - Import settings. Set to what you want the files to be (Apple Lossless).

Hold Option and iTunes menu Advanced > Convert to Apple Lossless....

Select the iTunes folder of the files you want to convert. This will take a while so you may want to select only a few Artists at a time instead of the entire folder.

iTunes will convert & add the files in ALAC (Apple Lossless) in one step. Only the ALAC files will be in this new iTunes library.

To get back you your original iTunes library, hold Option, launch iTunes and select the original iTunes folder.

In the iTunes Preferences menu and advanced tab,

because thats; not what I wrote. I wrote iTunes menu Advanced, not iTunes prefs,

Those instructions are for iTunes 10, which has an Advanced menu item.

iTunes 11 does not.

For iTunes 11, go to iTunes menu File > Create New Version - Convert to Apple Lossless... then select thefoldercontaining the files.
