I would like to be able to re-name documents.
Please advise.

click on the finder icon. select the document you want to change the name of. click get info. you can change the name there.
Further to Donald's reply Click get info ? - On the Finder toolbar click to open up the "Action" icon (perform tasks with the selected item) then click and get info.
Jezzzz, I'm so stupid. Where is the "Action" icon. I don't find it on my Finder toolbar and I've tried searching Apple support on line. 😟
once you open finder and find the document you want. select the doc by clicling on it. Then under the file menu you will find "get info"
Is it possible to rename a document? How, please.
