Hi I jest borat a bran new retian macbook pro 13.

How new?

You have 14 days to return the computer w/no questions asked. Plus you have 90 days of FREE phone tech support on top of your standard 1 year warranty unless you also purchased AppleCare which gives you an additional 2 years of coverage plus FREE phone support. Strongly suggest that you take FULL advantage of the above before it runs out. Let Apple deal w/your problems. A message board is the LAST place you should be.

I have had to mac for 21 days. So can not do the 14 day return. (Know questions asked.) As I said its not a deep scratch. If you were to look at the screen and I did not tell you it was there, you wood not notice it. You can onley reley see it when you shine light on it, when teh screen is off. I have herd of people the heve had there ipads replast for a scratch, but a lot deeper then this one. I jest do not think that thay wood replace my one for this. As I said its berley notisable. And allo it pist me off, at the beging of the week. But I have kind of Gotten used to it. Shod I try ringing them! any way thaks for your halp:)

So I rang them and they said. That there is not a locked they can do about it, as it is passed a 14 day return time. He said he could get the screen replaced that this would cost £ lot. So I think I'm just going to have to live with it. I am getting a screen protector for this unit, is to stop this from happening again. Do you think the screen protector, will make the scratch less visible when the computer is on. Always there any other way of getting rid of it. Anyway thanks for your help. Varian6930

You are still under warranty. The repairs would be FREE!!!! However, if you caused the damage, Apple will not cover it as they do not cover accidental damage.

Strongly suggest that you call Apple Customer Relations and explain the problem to them. Call Apple tech support and ask politely & firmly that you want to be transferred to the Customer Relations department.

Your original postings did not indicate that you were the cause of the screen damage. Since that is the case, you will be responsible for the cost of repairs. Your other alternative is to report the damage to your homeowners/rental insurance. Check w/them to determine if you have the accidental damage option on your policy. Also, check w/your cc company if you purchased your MBP w/one.
