how to sync mac calendar with iphone, when I connect iphone to my mac it says that it will update via icloud, but no update to iphone calendar why?

On both the Mac and iPhone in the iCloud pane do you have sync calendar checked? If so the two should sync via iCloud.

i tick the mac and iphone but its not updating neither and my icloud is setup correctly.
