M-Audio Fast Track Pro on Mac OS X 10.8.3

Hi all

I switched from Windows 7 to Mac OS X Mountain Lion on a brand new MacBook Pro 15inch with Retina running on version

OS X 10.8.3 (12D78).

I use the M-Audio Fast Track Pro external USB device for recoding my mix sessions together with audacity (connected via spdif). This setup worked perfectly on the windows 7 ultimate environment.

According to the instruction underhttp://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/en_US/how_to/en399803?popup=true&NewLang=en&D ocType=1080 I installed the latest driver for the device from http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/en_US/Download/Fast-Track-Pro-Drivers.

So far so good...

When I start streaming music from my external Pioneer DJM-800 I can't hear any sound (either on the device itself nor on the headphones on the MacBook Pro). Honestly I can live with that, but in addition I can't grab any sound using audacity (tried GarageBand, but the same issue there). What's irritating me is the fact that the volume controle is set to zero for all fast track pro related channels and are disabled for change (see attachmend below). Might that be the reason?

I already contacted avid.com but they seem unable to resolve my problem. I've got some screenshot attached which are hopefully useful.

Does anybody has an idea what's going on and how I can setup the system so that I at least can record my mix sessions?

If you need some more input from my setup please let me know.
