i cant hear any volume when my headphones are plugged into my ipod nano 7g

I cant hear the volume on my brand new ipod nano 7g. it doesnt seem that the head phones arent plugged in all the way

iPod nano, Windows 7, my ipod is brand new

That is probably the problem. Get a flashlight and check the headphone jack on the nano and make sure there is not lint, etc. impeding inserting the headphone jack. If there is not reinsert your headset jack firmly (the jack on the Nano is very tight when it is new) and make sure it is pushed all the way in. There should be no gap between the plastic on the headset jack and the body of the nano.
