Top frequencies disappearing from Logic's drums!!!

im bangin away on Logic's drums- Warehouse Kit, Cavern Kit. All of a sudden, the top drops out, anything above 10-15k disappears. I've tried changing buffer size, RAM, checked to see if its my speakers (it's not). Tried restarting, etc. What's going on? HELP!

Logic Studio, Mac OS X (10.6.8), McBk Pro 2.53 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

These kits have MIDI CC1 (Modulation) mapped to control the Filter etc in the EXS24.
