iMessage not working since iOS 6.1.3

As title iMessage not sending pictures since update. It will send text format,I have tried all I can via the forums with no success. iPhone won't send pictures over my 3G pr wifi connection so must be a problem with update. From reading the boards and online it seems a problem apple are willing to sweep under the carpet. I have turned off face time iMessage and rebooted. Checked my mobile number messed with router settings and reset network. Any ideas people ?

I'm also having this issue...all started happening after I did the software update! My husband has been trying to troubleshoot by going through all the message settings, but nothing is working. He's been seeking out forums and found out I'm not the only one. After message send failure I can send via email but that's about it. Texting photos and video to contacts who aren't on iMessage works fine, only iMessage messaging is having the problem! Apple, please resolve this issue ASAP!

Yup, add me to this iMessage problem list too. It seems to be isolated to the iPhone 5. I still run an iPhone 4S and it's working fine.

I can send pictures via iMessage over iPad and both my Macs, and my 4S but not with the iPhone 5. Regreting doing this update now!

Been playing with my settings for several hours now and still no success.

@tcsm_nz I click on that link you supplied in the hopes of it leading me to the holy grail for this fix but it goes to a non interactive support page with the header "Apple Services, Stores, and iCloud" and listing the different applications. I'm obviously missing something 😕 as I don't see anything on this page referencing the problem or solution to this very annoying iMessage issue as a result of the iOS 6.1.3 update 😟

There is no iMessage issue in 6.1.3. There was an iMessage issue (affecting mostly the 4, 4S, and 5, across all iOS versions shortly after 6.1.3's release) but this was not specific to the iOS version on the device. That issue has since been resolved.

The link provided is not a fix, it is merely Apple's system status page. Not sure why any intelligent human being would think it is a fix, read the link provided.

@diesel vdub 1st off, no need to insult a person's intelligence. The question is very genuine, and it is being asked across all forums by people all over the globe.

I have to ask how the iOS release, Quote:- "was not specific to the iOS version on the device. That issue has since been resolved" when clearly it only occurred after the update to iOS 6.1.3 and it is not fixed. If it is who and how was it done? That information would be more useful than throwing insults. Anyone I have spoken to who have not yet updated to the new rev of iOS have no issues, but all those that have do.

The post with the "http://www.apple.com/support/systemstatus/ "link indicated that a fix had been given and from the comments that followed showed that people had followed whatever instruction was given and that it fixed the problem.

So, as you seem to have all the answers, kindly advise on what the fix is so as I and all the others can resume using iMessage to send picture messages.
