I am setting up my Mac mini for the first time. The track pad set up okay but when trying to set up the keyboard it shows the code but keeps cycling back to the code again and again, never accepting it. Does any one know what to do?

Yes, I was clicking return every time. I found the problem was due to my ipad and two iphones all had their bluetooths on and were confusing the set up. After I disabled all other bluetooth sources the Mini accepted the code and finished setting up the keyboard with the easy with which I expected the Apple to perform. Thanks for all the other discussions which gave me the thought I needed.
