Updating iWork from 9.0 for my new system 10.8.3

Installation from 9.0 to 9.3 didn't work for me. Now it won't open at all. It doesn't show up as needing to update either. I can't purchase an app since it is already installed. I'd rather not buy again if I don't have to.
