7z command line for Mac OS X 10.5.8?

7z command line for Mac OS X 10.5.8?

Hello.

I am having problems finding a command line version of 7z like in Linux. I found GUI ones, but I prefer the command line (e.g., 7z foobar.7z ~/*). Does one exist for 10.5.8?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.5.8), 2.4 Ghz; A1260 model; 15" size.

I found lsar and unar, but they can't compress? 😟

I assume that is the same as http://www.win-rar.com/fileadmin/winrar-versions/rarosx-4.2.0.tar.gz ... If so, then it didn't recognize 7z files in command line. Even Linux version in Linux doesn't work.
