Crash with 10.8.3 and Epson printer

Since I updated to 10.8.3, any attempt to install or print to my Epson computer (using Firewire) leads to a grey screen of death and reboot. Using my Macbook Air and 10.8.2, I have no problem printing using USB. With 10.8.3, the printer is found but then dropped immediately.

Sounds like a 10.8.3 / Epson driver problem.

Apple, any solutions for now????

This is a known issue. The workaround is to connect the printer via USB.

The problem seems to be resolved with the upgrade to 10.8.5, which includes an Epson printer update. I tried it this morning and I was able to print via Firewire without a Kernel panic.
