My drive failed on my iMac and I had to get a new drive but now my iTunes music is gone including all the CD's I added to iTunes, and all of my custom Playlists. All of that stuff is still on my iPhone 4, but how do I get it all onto my iMac again?

I have CD's on my phone that i no longer have the physical copies of so i can't just re-download them all, plus it would take forever! I just want to know if there is a way to get all of what is still on my phone, back over to my iMac with it's new drive and restore my full iTunes library to the iMac with playlists, CD downloaded music, and my iTunes bought stuff, so i can go back to synching the 2 devices without losing everything that's on my phone that used to be on both devices?

iPhone 4, iOS 6.1.2

LOL!! That's so true it hurts! I know, I know, I can't believe I didn't have a backup! I actually lost a bunch of pics of my kids from when they were little, and that part really hurts! I just figured if it's on my phone, music wise, why can't that just be reverse syched back into place on my Mac? Seems like it should totally be something that can be done easily? Hard to believe it can't be done without extra cash! Gotta love tech!

Wow that *****, i have to pay $25 bucks to put what's on my phone back onto my Mac? I can't re-rip all of it since some of those CD's i don't have anymore! Why can i put what's on my computer onto my phone for free, but putting it back to the Mac costs $25???

The iPhone is not a backup device.

Technically, if you no longer posess the physical CD's that you ripped the music from, then you no longer own a license to that music.
