iDVD and iLife '11

I just purchased a new 15" Macbook with retina display however it doesn't have iDVD and I'm in need of the program. I understand that I need to download iLife however I cannot find the program to download and there was not a startup disk, or any other disk for that matter, with the laptop upon purchase.

What can I do?

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.3)

If you have to purchase an iLife disc in order to obtain the iDVD application remember that the iLife 11 disc only provides themes from iDVD 5-7. The Software Update no longer installs the earlier themes nor do any of the iDVD 7 updaters available from the Apple Downloads website contain them.

Currently the only sure fire way to get all themes is to start with the iLife 09 disc:

This shows the iDVD contents in the iLife 09 disc via Pacifist:

You then can upgrade from iDVD 7.0.3 to iDVD 7.1.2 via the updaters at the Apple Downloads webpage.

Hi (just me Bengt W - not OT) but

I can tell how I use to do that.

There are two kind of screen grabs on Your Mac as is

• full screen dump - press [Shift+cmd+3]

• just selected area of screen - press [Shift+cmd+4] - and drag cross hair over area needed

Then on DeskTop or on Macintosh HD (root level = first window) You find the file as Screendump 1.png or alike it (on older Macs - Picture 1.png etc)

then as You see in this Question or Reply window - there is a Camera symbol

and User uploaded fileby clicking on this one can select the ScreenDump 1.png file

and insert it in the question/reply document.
