You will need to go back to the app store and re-download them.

yes, but it says i have to pay for them in the app store, and i had them for free before
If this iLife suite came pre installed on your Mac then you would need to install via your iLife DVD or your system DVD.
ok but the problem, I don't have an iLife DVD (this is the late 2011 edition which comes with no discs!).
Restoring iLife applications after Internet Restore of OS X Lion or OS X Mountain Lion
If you erase install OS X Lion or OS X Mountain Lion on a new Mac that shipped with OS X Lion or OS X Mountain Lion installed, you can download iPhoto, iMovie, and GarageBand from the Mac App Store.
i see. I remember accepting the bundle, but i dont see the iLife apps in the purchases tab! i see other apps but not the iLife ones. I guess this means i'm dealing with another problem: 'purchases apps not showing in app store'. what do you think?
btw: thanks alot for helping me, this is the first time i log into this forum and it is awsome 🙂
Just email Apple support and explain what happened, they should email you a redeem codes. They will ask you for your S/N of the computer and some other info.
thanks alot 😎
Welcome,
Thanks Eric! I found the new versions in the purchased section of the app store just as you suggested!!
Hai Wasiim, I have similiar problems as yours. Would you please tell me how to get it back and what email of Apple Support i must sent the request? Thanks before.
What is the email address to contact them? I'm having the same problem with my MacBook Air 2011 after having to reinstall OS X due to the SSD drive crashing out - went to work on music tonight and had an unpleasant surprise. Can't find a contact email option, just a 'schedule a call' or 'call for support' - and as a former Apple Care adviser and someone who's busy I want to do anything _BUT_ spend time on the line with them.
I have the same problem. My MacBook pro is also a 2011 model. This only happens after the update to Yosemite. Even though I put in my apple id it doesn't seem to work. What is the email to Apple support? This thread and the responders have been very helpful.
Thank you so much, I did not even need to go to the Apple store!
