I recently got an iPad 4 and since the time I installed the YouTube app, I keep getting a "playback error" message on most of the videos that I'm trying to watch. I do not have a SIM and basically use the iPad on my wifi network, however other devices that use the network (incuding my iPhone) can stream those videos perfectly well. How can I solve this problem? It's a real pain and makes the iPad pretty useless...

Delete your YouTube app and install again.
I tried that, as well as resetting my general and network settings. However none of these seem to help and youtube still shows the playback error.
Same problem here, neither iPhone5 or iPad will play Youtube vids anymore. "playback error" is shown on a black screem, I have tried McTube, and deleted the Youtube App and reloaded to no avail. What happened? It was working, did Apple do something in the last OS update?
