Really Bad iPad 2 Wi-Fi Trouble, PLEASE HELP! :(

Ok so I was on my iPad 2 Wi-Fi only no celluar, about 4-6 months old. It came with iOS 5 on it, and connected to the internet properly.

I updated to iOS 6 and the connection ran smoothly, but about a week or 2 after the upgrade to iOS 6, the Wi-Fi just stopped working.

Not only that, but SharePod wrecked my iPad's music 😠 and when I synced with iTunes it restored the iPad. This was alright because I know all my downloaded apps history is saved in iCloud, so there was no prob with that 🙂, but I did NOT know it would erase everything 😐. It also said it would auto-update to the LATEST version of iOS 6. I tried to connect to the internet (to download all my apps again, and to get back to using it because I prefer internet on my iPad then my laptop) but it kept on giving me the message: Unable to join network "network SSID removed for privacy reasons". Typical, just what I thought.😮

Please DO NOT TELL ME TO RESET THE ROUTER, RESTART THE iPAD, UPDATE FIRMWARE, TAKE IT TO A GENIUS, BLAH BLAH BLAH!! ALL OF THIS HAS ALREADY BEEN TRIED (EXCEPT FOR THE GENIUS PART BECAUSE THERE IS NO APPLE STORE WHERE I LIVE)

Please help me! I am really confused, and I am really REALLY big trouble, so please help! PLEASE, I AM BEGGING YOU!😢 My sister doesn't even TOUCH the iPad anymore, that's how bad it is.

more info:

- I do not know how to downgrade back to iOS 5

- I am not, repeat not, jailbreaking the iPad. Uh-uh. No way. Mac dialog box shaking as if you entered the wrong password.

- It is iPad 2 Wi-Fi Model, no 3G etc.

- I am comfortable with downloading all of the apps again (I have too, duh!)

- It would be appreciated if someone can help me.

Thank you!

You can't downgrade the iOS.

Some things to try first:

1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)

• Launch Settings app

• Tap on Wi-Fi

• Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list

• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

I'm hoping you can help me. I have an iPad 2 wifi + 3G (ATT) and have been having the same connectivity problems as everyone else but don't seem to have as many problems w/my wifi as I do with my 3G connection. My biggest/URGENT problem is with my email and the 'mail server not found' problem. Mail comes in fine but I can't save drafts and the minute I send an email, it disappears from my sent mail. I found the fix in this forum which directs you to remove your mail applications and reinstall them. That worked....for about a day or two. Then, the problem comes back as soon as I leave town and connect via 3G. I just performed this fix for the THIRD TIME before I left town a wk. ago and 3 days later, it came back again. I'm out of town, have no access to my iMac or a computer or a wifi connection (I only have my iPad w/3G lousy connection). This is what we call in my business a SEVERITY 1 defect...product unusable! I need to refer to my sent mail on business calls and can't. The new 6.1.3 release doesn't say anything about bug fixes for iPads, on,y iphones, so I didn't dare install it for fear of adding insult to injury. Do you have any ideas on a better workaround or fix? I'M DESPERATE,!
