5G Video iPod Diagnostic Mode SDRAM FullTest

When I select this mode, I get the following display:

----------
Please wait...

Run: BL ON
Pass: BL BLINK
Fail: BL OFF

Reset to Continue
----------

The screen stays this way with the backlight on when I run the SDRAM Full Test. I left it this way without resetting (to exit the display) for over an hour. The screen display remained the same throughout. How am I to interpret this screen? Is is through running when this is displayed? If the test is over, shouldn't the backlight blink or go off as the display suggests?

No apparent problem with iPod. I ran the diagnostic to check the (9MB?) internal RAM. I still do not know what the screen result means. From the test result screen description, if the RAM passed the test, shouldn't the backlight be blinking? Since the backlight continously remains on, does that not signify that the test is still running and not yet complete? I do not know how to interpret the screen result from the display result descriptions.

Yes. That is where I acquired the diagnostic mode info. But no explanation of this test result is explained there. I believe that the diagnostic mode tests are important to intermediate level users wanting to test the functionality of their iPod whenever they suspect a problem. I understand all of the other test screen results except for this one. I am sure that someone must know the interpretation of this particular diagnostic screen test result.
