Macbook RAM upgrade compatability?
I have a Macbook 13.3 with 2.4 GHZ Intel Core 2 Duo and 2 GB RAM. Can I use 2GB 2Rx8 PC3 8500S-07-F0 to upgrade to 4 GB?
MacBook (13-inch Mid 2010), Mac OS X (10.6.8)

This is what you can use:
| Maximum Memory | 8.0 GB (Actual) 4.0 GB (Apple) |
|---|---|
| Memory Slots | 2 - 204-pin PC3-8500 (1066MHz) DDR3 SO-DIMM |
Always add memory in matched pairs. Do not attempt to use faster rated memory. Stick to Apple's specs.
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
You say that you have a Mid 2010 MacBook, that supports 16 GB of memory. This MacBook uses DDR3 1066 MHz RAM, as you can see in this site > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1651?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US#link1
That's the memory you have to buy, but you don't specify what DDR memory type is the memory you want to buy for the MacBook. To guarantee its compatibility, buy the memory in OWC or Crucial > http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/memory/Apple_MacBook_MacBook_Pro/Upgrade/DDR3_Whi te
