    Just a follow up.


    1st Step: I deleted my iCloud email account

    2nd: I turned off all the details on my other email accounts. (As mentioned at page 1)

    3rd: Hard Reset (Holding home button + switch)

    4th: Turn on. (While crossing fingers)


    Worked for me, for at least 10 minutes now.


    Still trying to observe if there will be a drop.


    Note that I don't have an exchange account  and I'm using iPhone 4S.

    Which is meaningless. When you turn iCloud back on it must resync everything, which of course will require battery. If you still have excessive battery drain after an hour you have a problem. But 3% doesn't tell you anything.

    Now I've got 20 percent drainage without the iCloud, this is from the moment I posted the 3%. Is it still meaningless?

    Totally bogus; you are making this stuff up. I have no idea where you got 1000 cycles when Apple says 400 cycles. From

    Note that this also says:


    Be sure to go through at least one charge cycle per month (charging the battery to 100% and then completely running it down).


    It says at least once a month, not no more than once a month.


    You cannot overcharge the battery; the phone won't let you. There's a smart charger in the iPhone that stops charging when the battery reaches 100%. In fact, occassionally after charging overnight you will see the battery at less than 100%; that's because the charging stopped at 100%, something used power, and the charger doesn't come back on until the phone reaches 96%. You also cannot totally discharge the battery; the phone shuts off before the battery is fully discharged.


    I've charged all of my iPhones overnight, every night, for almost 6 years. I currently have a 3GS that is 3 years old and its battery is just fine. My 4S is also fine after 18 months of use.

    No, it's not meaningless; it means that there is an app other than email that is stuck in a loop. You need to find the app and kill it.

    If your battery is in a free fall, then you might have a bad battery. You can take your battery to Apple and they can tell you what condition your battery is in.

    I can assure you that the hardware ain't faulty. I had this checked before the issue started. :)

    I see you are doing your homework. See the infomation is out there Apple tells you how to properly maintain your battery. All some people have to do is go to or google it and you will find what you are looking for.

    I have a 4S on Verizon and immediately after upgrade to 6.1.3 I started experiencing the rapid battery drain.  Nothing else changed on my phone so I do completely attribute this to the 6.1.3 update. I went from a battery life at least 1 day to less than 6 hours of battery life overnight.   This went on until I found this and other threads.


    I did not have iCloud running but decided to delete that account since I wasnt using it and saw commentary about in other threads.  I deleted my exchange account and did the power cycle of the device then added the account back in.  I also turned off the auto-push and now only do manual checks.


    My battery consumption now seems to be back to normal. 


    Thanks for the suggestions.  I hope the rest of you find a solution that works as well.
