Q: iOS 6.1.3 battery drainage

Last night I updated my iPhone 4S to a iOS 6.1.3 and now it drains my battery in extremely fast manner. As I started signing in to write this question from my iPhone I already lost 13% of my battery. I never had a problem with a battery and ive been using iphones since the first one. i miss my morning class because of it because my alarm clock didn't because my phone was dead. Please fix it or have no choice but buy Samsung GS4

Not in the slightest strange. NORMAL. The overwhelming majority of iPhone users never have a problem. It's only the exceptions that come and report problems. That's what the forum is for; to get help with issues.

Thanks, I preformed the steps.  It's re-syncing and charging.  I will report tomorrow my findings.

6.1.3 has made my phone EVEN worse! This is just ridiculous! 2 months of this battery drain issue is just unacceptable apple! Fix it now before you lose loyal customers to android. Please.

+1 Same problem after upgrading iPhone5 from 6.1.2 to 6.1.3. Even when I'm not using my phone, the battery percentage is dropping quickly. Very bad situation with this product. Apple - need to do something!!!

Just to add to my earlier comment, it does seem to be exchange causing this issue, i followed Laurence Fitch message and now seems to be ok, everything was off anyway but after deleting the exchange accounts and rebooting i have now lasted 1 hour with 1% drop...seems to fix it for me and a few others at least, it also seems to have fixed my slow 3g speed also...

    Thanks to Laurence

all this is happening because of the "curve" of software from Apple. when, after the firmware is not the normal reset to factory settings.

So if you remove all the email accounts off the phone, reset the phone by home and on, then re add your emails this seems to fix it?

    To solve battery drain issues:

It took me a week to figure this out.

AnD I've just figured it out right now.

You're gonna have to start your iphone as new, disable data AnD 3G. Do not backup, do not get icloud.

Download all of your data (apps) from wi fi alone (do NOT enable data AnD roaming!!).

Then when you're done getting all of your apps back, enable data.

Leave it on stand by for a few minutes.

    Enable 3G.

Don't you ever download an app with data and 3G enabled, it will mess up data transfer somehow.

    This is Apple.

And this does not work, repeat and do not enable 3G at all,

You're gonna get a normal battery

    If you're talking to me,

You can enable everything back once you're done downloading the apps.

The key is only download apps with wi fi AND make sure data And 3G are off while you're doing it.

My battery used to drain 20% an hour, works perfecly now

Lawrence Finch you are a life saver.  Followed your simple instructions.  6% chewed up in 4 hours.  Back to normal.  Follow Larry's instructions on the first page.  No wiping / no restore / no deleting exhange account.

    Brilliant +1.
