Ok, so Today, I put my ipod on my window sill cause it was dry(so I thought), and then it started raining outside. A few hours later, I reached for my ipod and it was drenched! I turned it on and it had the unhappy face on it, and then the do not dissconnect, then the dead battery sign. After that I shook it and most of the water came out. Then the apple screen shows up and it has been there for a few hours now. I press buttons and nothing happens. I press them again, but this time I put the ipod to my ear and I can hear the hard drive operating still. I dont want to waste more money to get a new one. So what should I do? please help me.....I love me ipod........... Oh just for your info, it is a video ipod....

Let it sit out on a towel, in room temperature, for about a week. Don't try to turn it on, just leave it. When the week is up, try to turn it on. If it doesn't work, let it dry for another two weeks. Then try again. If not, it's probably fried.

This was the day after it got wet: Well I turned it on this morning and it Worked!! Now, the only problem is was that none of the songs/videos would play, so i figured the music was lost on my ipod so, i took all the files out and put them back in, but still does not work.............wat do I do now?

    Try restoring the iPod...
    Restore the iPod

Also, is it showing that the songs are playing and no sound is coming out? Try different headphones.

I will try the restore part. But my headphones do work. When I choose the song and play it it stays at 0:00 and does not play or change numbers... Nothing moves. I tried the volume and still nothing....

    Okay.

Try the restore. It should help.

You may want to try a reset first though...

I tried to reset it and it still did not work.......By the way, did I mention that I had a 5th Generation iPod? You said Restore, and It said I might require a AC Adapter( which did not come with ipod video), I am not sure if I wanna do it. Will I need an AC adapter. Try the restore. If you have a 5G iPod with video, you will not need an AC Adapter to complete the restore process.

    So?

A 5G iPod with video is a 5th Generation iPod with video. 5G refers to the generation, not storage capacity.

Are these purchased songs or songs from CD?

Your iPod may be damaged though. There are still a few more things to try though.
