Problem with Azeri keyboard layout

You unzip if necessary and put the .keylayout file in Library/Keyboard Layouts, logout/login, and then check its box in the Input Sources Pane.

AzeriPC.keylayout is not an app, just a file that will give you an additional keyboard layout. Is the some reason you can't download it?

It should work. You need to type a space after your substitute. Also you may need to go to Edit > Substitutions to turn it on, also check the app preferences.

If you are using something non-Apple, like MS stuff, they may have their own settings for such things.

Every now and then Apple goofs on the layouts, there are several other examples. Usually it is easier just to use Ukelele to make one you like than to wait for them to fix it.

It’s good to see that Apple has fixed this bug since the question was asked 3 years ago. But what language hardware keyboard are you using, Turkish? On a standard English hardware keyboard the combination would be Alt + /.

You could also try using system preferences/language & text/ text/ symbol and text substitution

First select Azeri keyboard. Without any changes you can write by pressing the

ALT + :

combination (Besides the buttons on the right side of the shift button).

Thanks Tom. That is right. I'm using Turkish hardware keyboard. That mast used English hardware keyboard Alt + / combination in Azerbaijan language.
