Q: Can't pair my wireless keyboard to my apple tv

It won't connect to my wireless keyboard, the window to enter the pairing code, I don't know what to do next. Once and if I pair the keyboard to my apple tv, can I then use it to search and anything else, that before was with the controll?

iCloud, iOS 6.0.1, I have Mac, iPad and iPhone 4S

    the keyboard have to be bluetooth other wireless keyboard types does not work

    the keyboard can only be connected to 1 device at the time so if it's connected to a computer or ios device it can't work with the appletv before it's disconnected from those
