Nothing I've tried helps with my sister's recovery mode issue.

My sister tried to perform an iOS update while she had only 4MB on her iPod. Now, I think due to a memory overload, her iPod is stuck in recovery mode. I've tried to recover it by doing what iTunes says. It would word for the first... three minutes. However, about halfway through, the iPod would disconnect, only to reconnect back in recovery mode. I've also tried two 3rd party programs that were supposedly designed to reverse a recovery mode loop, but I soon found out that they only work on recovery loops caused by jailbroken iPods. Anything to help would be wonderful. As far as my opinion goes, I need to wipe the iPod clean, but if the restore function was any indication, iTunes won't help. If there's anything to wipe an iPod out I would also like to know. Thanks in advance.

Maybe:

Restore loop (being prompted to restore again after a restore successfully completes)

Troubleshoot your USB connection. If the issue persists, out-of-date or incorrectly configured third-party security software may be causing this issue. Please follow Troubleshooting security software issues. .

Next try placing in DFU mode and then restoring.

Then try restoring on another computer.

Last, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.
