I recently noticed that a week ago my gmail on my iphone was not deleting the messages. Whether I click the trash can, swipe and delete or move to the trash folder, once I go to see if it is in Trash, I see it for 5 seconds and then it disappears. When I set up my gmail on the iphone 5, i clicked the gmail icon. I didnt want any problems pushing email through exchange, as i had read several issues concerning receiving email. Every forum I read says to turn off the Archives option, but that option does not show up on my screen. Is there anything I can go to fix this problem???
