I updated my 4s to 6.1.3 anyone having these issues as well?

I updated my iPhone 4s to the newest iOS 6.1.3. since then I have had these issues:

First my sound would not work. I used navigation right after the update, turned off navigation and poof... no sound.

I am no stranger to issues with iPhones, so I did a soft reset (power button and center button).

This has NEVER put my phone back to a factory reset before, this time it came pretty close.

It reset all of my settings, all the sound settings were completely wiped (text tone, email tone, alert tone.. etc.), however they did comeback on.

In addition I can no longer find the option to turn on the battery %.

My general settings were pretty much factory reset. As well as I started getting the pop ups that you get when you first get the phone i.e. "How can Siri help you?" and " Did you know you can rearrange the icons on your homescreen?".

While I yet to have any issues connecting to WiFi, I did notice that the AT&T wifi hotspot kept connecting and disconnecting (not sure if this is their issue or the phone).

I had significant battery drain with the iOS 6.1.2, and issues with the battery getting very hot as well. I hope that this update fixes that.

Is anyone else having these issues? If so, how did you fix them or what other issues are you having with the iOS 6.1.3 update that I need to keep an eyeball out for.

I've updated several phone and an iPad with out problems.

First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider should one appear until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

I know you said you did a "soft reset" but did you hold those buttons down until the Apple logo appeared?

Was your phone jailbroken before the update?

Im having the same problem, I updated my Iphone 4S to 6.1.3, shortly after that my phone had no audio. It was working fine one minute and then stopped. Was listening to music when sound gave out on me. It wont ring, phone just vibrates even after turning off vibration option. I've tried all the options listed and nothing. My phone has never been jailbroken either. If I connect the earphones is works perfectly. On one of my last calls received, phone's ringtone was heard for about 2 seconds before muting and just vibrating. Ringtone sounded perfect, speakers did not sound damaged.

What else could be done? I've read several post regarding this and it seems like Apple has no solution to this yet. 😟 Very dissappointed.

I too have had volume issues since the last week, aprozamately 2 updates ago. Currently IOS 6.1.3 on an Iphone 4, that I bought because I got it for under $20 through my carrier so it hasn't been jailbroken. After 3 months of being an Apple user, I wasn't overly impressed to start with, now even less so. Sound is there, only is about half the max volume it used to be. Triple checked (and more) all settings. The problem is across all sound, itunes, games, ringtones, the sound through the earpeice for calls seems normal, speakerphone volume is affected. My 1st smart phone was a Samsung Vortex I had 3 weeks prior to getting my Apple, and I am ready to reactivate it. What good is a phone you can't hear ring unless you have it in your hand? I had always felt Apple was a bunch of hype, here is their chance to prove me wrong...

I am having the same problem on my iPad 3. No audio after update. I went on chat with CS and they told me to reboot and reset which I had already done. Then they sad restore just to see if it was a hardware or software issue. Not funny at all as they were blaming me for the problem and couldn't accept the fact that it could just be possibly THEIR issue with iOS 6.1.3. They don't seem to be aware of a problem even after a repeatedly told them it was being reported by others on the apple community. They should look for themselves and could see it isn't just me.

Updated to iOS 6.1.3 on my iPad it has now lost sound and is pretty much useless as a multimedia device as a result.

I cOntact support they suggested that it downloaded incorrectly...to be honest he was more interested in selling me warrantee extensions, but he suggested a factory reset. So Just to Tell everyone...DO NOT BOTHER..it does not work, nor does the holding down of the home and off buttons or a basic reset. I haven't figured it out yet but it looks like it back to apple for refund as device not fit for purpose with out sound. If they are going to issue crap up grades and remain silent on it the it is the only option.w

I also just recently update the Iphone 4s with 6.1.3 and anything that would play through my loud speaker or external speaker has no sound. The phone works good through the standard speakers when on a call or when using a pair of headphones but other than that my loudspeaker is gone. I cant use Youtube or any video playback apps with the loudspeaker, My Alarm is useless since its always on mute and i dont even hear the clicks or sound effects when typing or navigating the phone. Any solutions Apple?

I have a iphone 4s and recently accepted the iOS 6.1.3 update three days ago (Stupid me - first mistake). I too have lost the following two things as a result

1.Speakers

Sound from speakers (worked for about 2 secs on a speaker phone call then disappeared completely)

No clicking noise to the keyboard

No ringing, incoming messages outgoing messages noise

No Siri

So nothing out from the phone

Does work through headphones, docking, and Bluetooth to car stereo (Now does not show speakers as an option on the phone when calling through bluetooth in the car - just Car or iPhone)

2. Wifi

Wifi does not connect to my wifi - has found my business wifi signal and asked for the password which I gave but I have a constant 'spinning wheel' and no connection

Following advice on these great Community Support Sites (thank you all) I have tried the following without any success

Checked and double checked all settings - volume, mute, etc

Cleaning the headphone jack

Putting headphones jack in and out

Cleaning the docking station

Putting the phone in and out of the dock

Turning the phone off for 24 hrs

Turning the phone off with side mute button on and then turning it on again with mute off

Reboot (Power and Home Buttons) - several times

Restore with last saved back up

Restore with previous saved back up

Swearing at the phone loudly and suggesting to the phone that I would put it in a bucket of water if it didnt buck its attitude up

All to no avail

I HAVE COME TO THE CONCLUSION THAT THIS IS DEFINITELY AN iOS 6.1.3 UPDATE SOFTWARE PROBLEM

APPLE ARE YOU READING ME BECAUSE I CANT HEAR YOU - My speakers have gone??????

This needs an Apple resolution fast - my phone is my business and thus my livelihood

I am 3hrs from an Apple Store so cant just wander in to get it fixed I have contacted my local phone provider who has to wait for a "loan phone' to be returned before I can get mine sent away for 5-10 days to get 'fixed' elsewhere.

Anyone got a solution I have not tried please??

Thanks for your time
