Apple store repair payment options?

Hi,

So I am bringing in my work iMac to an Apple Store next week and was just wondering, if I do have to get it repaired and pay for the repairs upfront can I request an invoice and submit it to our Accounting department or would I have to shell out the cash from my pocket and get the cash back from them later?

Well, if Apple operates like a normal business, without a formal account you would be expected to pay when you collect the repaired item. I cannot see why your machine should not be presented as from the XYZ company and a receipt issued in that company's name for the payment ... but one way or another you will have to pay. I guess you could also use a company credit card provided you have the authority.

I did not purchase the iMac it was the company and it was through a reseller. The warranty is up and we had the display panel replace almost a year ago but the same issue is happening again. I tried calling the ressler but no avail. My manager will be back at the Head Office as I take the iMac in but they said they can call us and provide the card if needed.

I am not sure of the length of time a repair is guaranteed for. I suppose it depends if it was done by an Apple store. As the company purchased it, it is therefore their property. Usually I would not find reason to oppose Varjak Paw but I cannot see why you cannot present it for repair in the company's name or why the repairer cannot then make the receipt out to the company's name particularly if it is paid by company card.

I suggest you phone them and ask if it can all be done in the Company's name.

90 days from the date of repair or the length of the remaining warranty if any, whichever is longer.

That wasn't the question. Mike asked if the Apple Store would bill the company or if he'd have to pay himself and then get the money back from his company.
