2008 Mac Pro with Cal Digit Raid - Boot Camp

Have Caldigit raid card working 4 drives in raid 5 in my 2008 mac pro. Would like to keep the 4 drives in raid and try to run boot camp. Odd sata ports do not work.To install the Caldigit card, the ipass cable from mobo is disconnected and connected to the card. Is the existing motherboard sata controller still active if I connect a cable to the now available motheboard connector and could I connect a sata drive to it which could be seen by Windows/Bootcamp?

The Caldigit card allows bootcamp with a proprietary cable which I have, but I have to sacrifice one of my raid drives and would prefer not to do it that way.

Thanks!
