mobile modem not found

my mobile modem Huawei E352 works without any problems on my mac book pro 17" but my mac book air does not recognize the device when is plugged in?

The USB hubs are working, mac air is up to date i can not see a reason when i plug in the USB modem why the mac air does not see it?

any help
