I have a SD sequence in 16:9 ratio. IDVD and compressor insist on changing the ratio to 4:3 when I try to create a DVD. Is there something I'm missing?

Confirm that your sequence settings are SD 16x9.

Export a self-contained QT movie from Final Cut.

Open movie in QT/confirm QT recognizes it as 16x9.

Add to Compressor

Add DVD setting

Look at the inspector for the setting/encoder tab (underneath description)
Ensure that the aspect ratio is reading/set to 16x9.
