    I m facing with it keep searching wifi and the network's name didn't show up even I went near the internet device on 3G working. I switched off and on, rebooted, reset the network. Still haven t work on my iphone 4s i got this phone one year and one month just facing this problem about a week now. I m so tired. My laptop and ipad work fine. I really hate this. This is my first IPhone nd I m thinking of changing if it still facing the same problems!!!

    Like I mentioned before, my wifi doesn't connect automatically unless the wifi connection is password protected. If it is not, it recognizes it, but does not connect automatically after update. I would have to manually connect at my home everytime until I put in a password. Also, at a local steakhouse with wifi, they do not have a password...I always connected automatically and now I have to do it manually everytime I go there since the .3 update. That might be some of your issues. ??

    Well I called Apple support and they sent me a new I phone 5 after explaining that I tried everything to fix my phone even restored it. After restoring it the wifi toggle was greyed out most of the time but if I did have wifi it lasted for 10 seconds. This all started after the IOS 6.1.3 update. The engineering department wasted no time to give me a decision and send me a new I phone 5. The new one came with IOS 6.1.3 already installed hope I dont have a problem again.

    Since installing 6.1.3 on my IPad, my WiFi has stopped functioning as it normally did.

    Currently, even though it's showing my network/router,  it most times will not connect to the internet.

    when it does connect to the internet, the signal will drop after a few minutes.

    I know for a fact that its not my wifi router, as all of my other devices are able to connect to the internet via WiFi.


    Dear APPLE,  Please get your act together... fix this problem, and issue a solution !!!

    FIRST, you are not addressing Apple, as this is a user to user forum. So your "Dear APPLE" is wasted energy and breath.


    SECOND, it can still be your router, even if 1,000 other devices connect flawlessly. Your router may have taken a "dislike" to your iPad. (Or more correctly, its DHCP server may have crashed, so it can't assign new IP addresses. Devices that already have IP addresses are unaffected, but a device requesting a new IP address can't get one.) Have you tried rebooting the router by removing all power from it for 30 seconds?


    THIRD, the problem, if it is not the router, is in your iPad, not in any specific version of iOS. If the problem was with 6.1.3 I would have it on my 2 iPhones and my iPad, and the 2 dozen other iDevices in my office. None of them have any WiFi problems.


    If you want the problem resolved you will have to do some diagnosis, or take it to an Apple store for help.

    Thanks for your feedback.

    However, the WiFi problem started immediatly after installing 6.1.3 on my IPad;

    along with a few other minor quirks, such as a delay in accepting my key code to unlock etc.

    Minutes prior to the installation of the ios, the IPad's WiFi worked fine.


    If it's not the 6.1.3 IOS, then why are so many other people having the same issues on their IPads ???


    Anyway, I can't do anything about it... hopefully the next IOS will address the matter.


    Any News on when the Next update may be released ????

    Your mixture of symptoms point to data corruption during the update or in your backup that was restored.


    Have you tried power cycling your router? Yes, Right after 6.1.3 was installed iOS needed to get a new IP address. If the function in the router that does this had crashed it wouldn't be able to. So it would appear that 6.1.3 caused the problem but it was really that the phone needed a new IP address after the restore.


    If you HAVE power cycled the router and the problem remains, if you want the problem fixed you will have to troubleshoot it yourself. I can pretty much guarantee that the next release will not fix it, because it isn't a bug in 6.1.3. There have been similar reports after every update since version 3.0. So unless the same bug has been in every release for 3 years, about dozen update releases, it isn't specifically a problem with the version.

    After trying everything under the sun to fix my WiFi "grayed out" issue, I finally visited an Apple store. I was informed the only solution is to replace the device. They told me that my WiFi must have been functioniung improperly before the update, and the update fixed some issues and in the process of doing so disabled the "improperly functioning" WiFi.

    While I did not have the greyed out problem or a problem connecting to wi-fi, I can provide a bit of insight maybe into another (likely) iOS 6.1.3 related wi-fi bug. Something on the iOS side is causing wi-fi to drop and pick back up repeatedly so quickly that instantaneously sessions over wi-fi are timing out. The connection from a browsing perspective does not seem to be an issue. However in attempting to verify payment information on a new iOS device doing an app store purchase this am I got hit with endless log-ins and immediate session ends on the payment verification screen. The problem was solved when I enabled cellular data in iTunes & App Store under settings and turned Wi-Fi off. Using my 3G connection - I had no problem.


    My home wi-fi connection is fine and stable and on various computers in my household - no internet issues with the wi-fi connection. In fact I bought an album immediately after the problem occured and switched back on Wi-Fi and everything downloaded just fine.


    So there is definitely, in my opinion, overwhelming evidence that Apple somehow has introduced with 6.1.3 a major bug affecting wi-fi connections.

    If you are correct you need to explain why neither my 3GS nor my 4S nor my iPad, all on 6.1.3, has this problem.

    I had the same problem, not being able to turn WiFi on (button greyed out). The trick of putting my iPhone 4S in the freezer for 30 minutes  – ridiculously as it may seem – worked for me. For now, that is, as I'm not very confident on the stability of the "solution". I have had the problem before, a week ago or so, and was then solved spontaneously after one of my many reboots three days after the issue originally arrose. The problem turned up again, so it just might occur another time.. Fingers crossed I guess.

    I have the same problem with my iPhone 4s, not being able to turn WiFi on (button greyed out). I have been an Apple supporter for almost a decade now, and have now lost hope with them. No wonder why Samsung is proving to be a better option.

    Steve Jobs wouldn't allow this 6.1.3 Wi-Fi Greyed out problem if he's still alive I'm very much sure he'll appologize to the public and IMMEDIATELY RELEASE A NEW IOS or a FIX FOR IT AT LEAST! Apple's slowly crashing the boat. Only the name of the company lives

    Sorry to disappoint you, but Steve Jobs DID allow it, as the problem has been around through the life of almost every version and every phone. Even when Steve Jobs was alive. It isn't a problem with any specific version, and there is certainly nothing changed in 6.1.3 that could even remotely have affected WiFi connectivity. Updates sometimes break things; not the specific version, but just the fact of upgrading. WiFi is only one of the things that breaks; battery life is another, and BlueTooth is not immune. A new version won't fix it, either. If you want it fixed look at the tips here and elsewhere, and if you can't find a solution take it to an Apple store's genius bar for diagnosis.
