    you're just one of the lucky guys who didn't have the problem, you can't say it's a co-incidence that we all here have a WiFi complain

    But you are saying it IS a coincidence that some people had the identical problem after upgrading to 3.1.3, or to 4.1, or 4.2, or 5.1, or 5.1.1? Because the identical reports can be found by searching for forum after every upgrade that has ever been released. So if someone had a WiFi problem after upgrading to 3.1.3, 2 years before 6.1.3, how could 6.1.3 caused it?

    but this version iOS 6.1.3 or iOS 6 itself has the worst problem regarding WiFi, Battery. etc. Many people using iPhone 4S' facing the WiFi problem appeared much more than the previous iOS', Apple can't explain this issue and as I'm searching the net, joined FB Apple WiFi Problem groups and even tried almost everything, Now how would we know what the true problem is if there's no answer, tried everything to no avail, Warranty expired and would pay if surrendered.BTW, I respect your comment, thanks for the reply

    Apple didn't pulled a note why there's a WiFi failure, iOS 6 is the most buggy for it has the most complaint of Greyed WiFi. now waiting for iOS 7 and hopefully it fixes the bug

    I am soo disappointed with Apple. I've always had Android in the past with no problems. Allowed a friend to convince me to buy an Apple phone because "Apple stuff just works".. 


    Yeah right!!


    If this doesn't get fixed soon then I will be going back to Android. That includes the Tablet I am considering buying.


    Fix this NOW you Apple slackers!

    You're charging a premium for substandard software.

    How to change in web router interface? Do you mind show in picture what you had done, please? I m very low technology girl ;(


    I can connected to my wifi but not for long time have to turn the wifi button on and lock off then lock on after awhile then I can have wifi. I can use 3G but not all the time as will cost a lot. My phone still in good condition don t wanna change to we one yet. Thank you very much.

    After iOS upgrades to my iPhone 3G turned it into a sluggish battery-hog, I vowed never, ever, to upgrade the iOS on my 4S, no matter what new features or "fixes" were promised. I know this is too late for the folks in this forum, but, unfortunately, we cannot trust Apple's software upgrades any more. In future, if the phone you're using is performing well, don't upgrade the iOS or you will open yourself up to unknown problems that could make your iPhone laregely useless.

    This is just convoluted thinking, just like saying because it does not happen to every Apple device that it is not a software upgrade problem but a router problem!


    I did not upgrade to 6.1.3 but I did upgrade to 6.1.2 on my ipad 4 and experienced similar wifi and bluetooth problems. I have home, office, restaurant and pub wifi networks that all necessitated manual registration to the network after the "upgrade". Does that mean all these wifi routers were faulty? I don't think so as my ipad now works flawlessly with all of them again!


    I was put endless hours on the phone with apple support: reset network setting, software restore, factory reset all failed to solve the problem. I am not a technical person by any means but some of the suggestions from apple support staff verged on the ridiculous. After two days I eventually spoke to a guy called Brian who believed the issue was to do with the security settings in the wifi network settings resetting itself. At this point I was willing to give anything a try.


    So I deleted my home wifi network, switched off the ipad and then added my home wifi network again with the security settings as none and then switched the ipad off again. When I switched on the ipad and it did not find my home network automatically, I was instructed to delete it again and choose the next option in security settings. We went through this process four times and eventually when we got to WPA2 in the security settings and I switched the ipad on again it automatically found my home wifi. It also suddenly started seeing all my neighbors wifi networks that it had not seen for days and bluetooth starting working too!!


    Anyway this process is certainly worth a try for those experiencing problems with this latest upgrade. I really like my ipad, it fulfills all my computing needs and works without a hitch but I would rather not chance an upgrade to 6.1.3.


    What is disappointing though, is that Apple, like the original poster I replied to, does not see this issue as their problem because it does not affect every user and every device. Instead of apple even contemplating the issue may be from their end and providing a solution, it is left to fixes like heating devices up or freezing it or blow drying it coming from user forums and to actually find something that will solve your problem is like searching for a needle in the haystack.


    I was just lucky I suppose because after speaking to some poor customer service people I found a guy who went through every possible scenario to get the device working again. If you are reading this Brian congrats ona job well done and maybe you should head up the project team to sort this issue out once and for all.

    I had greyed out wifi when I updated to iOS 6 but I fix It by taking the iPhone to pieces and putting it back together

    I am having similar problems...



    After i updated my 4S to 6.1.3 :



    - I am not able to connect to any WIFI what-so-ever!


    The phone finds wifi networks but comes up with the Error "Incorrect password for XYZ" although the password is correct or "Unable to join network".

    Reseted Network settings, reseted All Settings, Restored the phone and nothing helps!



    - Battery drains EXTREMELY Fast!



    - I can't set-up my gMail account. Neither in the Email App or in the Gmail App. The phone just closes the menu (jumps to home screen) when I try to Verify the login data.




    I am a "die hard" fan of Apple products (own iMac, iPad, iPod, iPhone...) and a business man who relied to the "it just works" philosophy BUT the 6.1.3 update on the iphone is really eating up my nerves and wallet (phone bills for Data Roaming while abroad), so if the new update doesn't come fast and resolves the issues we are experiencing...I'll switch over to alternatives... I guess, I'm not the only one!

    I had exactly the same problem on another iPhone to fix it all I did was get the USB cable for the iPhone and in the back of your router there should be a USB port plug it into that it should vibrate once then stop go into setting wifi and it should come up with the network  and automatically connect to it with out the password.
