IS there any posibility to restore 6.1.2 and to check if it's working?

There was a vulnerability in 6.1.2 that was permanently patched by 6.1.3. Apple have made it impossible to legally downgrade to 6.1.2.

How about me? I've been left out to dry by Apple. My phone is less than 6 months old & is "unwarrantable" for the wifi issue because the moisture sensors are turned. I had my phone for three weeks when my 1 yr old got ahold of it & tossed it in the toilet. After drying it out, it worked perfectly until the beginning of July when I updated to 6.1.3 & the wifi stopped working. I went to the "geniuses" who took a look inside & determined that there was no water damage (no corrosion, dried water spots etc.). They said there must have just been enough moisture to turn the indicators but not enough to actually cause any damage. However, because the indicators are turned my warranty is null & void for any & all other issues. I am completely disgusted that "legally" they are doing nothing wrong but I'm stuck with a phone I have to heat up in my car every few days in order to get the wifi to work. If the water had damaged my phone, well that's my fault. But it was perfectly fine & I have no recourse to get my phone fixed. I wasn't even offered a discount on a new phone. The "geniuses" I dealt with were snobby & rude. Although this is my 4th iphone, my next phone will NOT be coming from apple.

Um, your phone was water damaged before you experienced the wi-fi problem.  The warranty was voided before your wi-fi issue.  Once the LCIs are tripped, that's it.  You admitted that it was thrown into a toilet

The retail store level doesn't disassemble the device down to a level to determine if there is any actual corrossion, or remaining moisture that will cause corrosion.  That has to be done at the repair depot.

Physical damage of any kind supercedes any manufacturing defect.  Your phone is living on borrowed time in any event.  If it went into a toilet, then it will eventually stop working because of some form of moisture damage.

And you do have a recourse: the out-of-warranty option.  And as far as them being 'snobby & rude', the mere fact that you expected them to replace your phone after it had been water damaged, and you probably acted like a PITA customer while in the store, pretty much ruined any remote possibility of leniency.

Perhaps the next phone you purchase, regardless of the make & model, should avoid being thrown into a toilet by  a toddler?  It's not Apple's fault that your child damaged the phone.  Kids break stuff.  Accept that fact of life as a parent.

I do not need you to validate my opinions or experience. I am disappointed with the service I have received & have the right to express that. I refuse to get into a war of words with a troll who loves his own voice and is out to prove how much smarter he is than anyone with a differing view than his. Get over yourself

Tellhiggs, you have now offended TJBUSMC1973, the mayor of this thread and defender of oppressed corporations.  We will now have to read 5 more pages of how Apple is  perfect and we're not worthy of their goodwill (except, of course, if you are covered by warranty).

Your phone was water damaged (catastrophic user-caused failure) prior to experiencing the wi-fi defect.

That's like wrecking your car & totalling it, and then complaining because the air conditioning isn't working right.

Even if Apple repaired your wi-fi chip, because the phone has been water damaged, it could die out the next day.

And, by the way, you and I BOTH have the right to express our opinions.  Get over YOURself.

I got tired of asking Apple to add an option to "delete all" emails, so I stopped posting there.  Besides, it's more fun to read your bad analogies  involving water bottles and your nearly religious defense of your beloved Apple. :-P

Today the wifi of my 4S greyed out, too. But it's been 5, 6 months since I am using 6.1.3

I have taken good care of my phone. Never dropped it, never exposed it to water, not a scratch, nothing!

At first the wifi could be turned on and off without finding any hotspot. Then I turned the phone off and on again, and then the wifi was greyed out.

I have tried resetting the network settings and erased all data , etc but no luck.

In General -> About , I can see the wifi address so I think the wifi chip is still alive !

P.S. my phone is only 6 months old and still in warranty. But I don't have access to an apple store for replacement.

Do you know if there are any plans to fix this problem in iOS 7 ?

It's a HARDWARE problem. No amount of software can fix it. Call Apple support and arrange a mail exchange if you don't have easy access to an Apple store.

Or try the hair dryer tactic - heat the back of the phone with a hair dryer for a couple of minutes. Some users swear by it. I don't endorse it, but it can't hurt.

It already had a hardware problem even when you could turn wifi on and off and it couldn't find a wifi hotspot.  I know because I brought my 4s to the Apple Store in that state.  When it did connect to a wifi network, the connection would last a few minutes and progressively got shorter.  It was diagnosed as a hardware problem at the Apple Store and was replaced.  You should get this done however way possible while you are still under warranty.
